Wine Box Discovery Pack Experience
Randall McBrayer
A Personal Touch
We hope you’re enjoying your GrapeFind experience! The goal of our Discovery Packs is to take you through the process of how members of our monthly subscription receive their personalized Somm experience at-home. By the end of your brief exploration with us, you’ll understand how the wines sent to you represent the way your growth and understanding with wine will develop over time through your own membership.
When you signed up you filled out an Introductory Questionnaire which was full of all sorts of wine topics which helped me design a profile for you. The questions basically told me what your preferences were regarding wine, and through your responses I was able to figure out what style of wine you enjoy. My profile for you was that you are a crisp and light wine drinker who leans towards a softer wine approach to wine making. So, what does that mean in plain English?
I saw you as a refreshing wine drinker who likes fruit-forward flavors and who doesn’t care for bitter, dry or sharp qualities. With this in mind, I’ve selected wines for you which represent this style while also pushing you to try wines and grapes from around the world which fit your profile. When you decide to sign-up for your own subscription, you’ll be presented different topics which would be designed to expand your understanding of wine month-to-month. Now let’s take a closer look at this pack’s selections.
First up we have the Vinum Cellars CNW Cuvée Chenin Blanc. A seamless match for a palate that craves crisp refreshment without sharp edges. This wine delivers bright orchard fruit (think ripe pear, golden apple, and a hint of citrus) wrapped in a soft, rounded texture that keeps things lively yet smooth. There’s freshness here, but it’s never aggressive; the acidity lifts the fruit without turning tart or bitter, making it effortlessly drinkable and inviting. For the best experience, serve it well chilled and enjoy it on its own as an easy afternoon pour or alongside light fare like grilled chicken, fresh salads, or mild cheeses. It’s the kind of bottle that feels clean, fruit-forward, and refreshingly uncomplicated. Exactly the style that makes you reach for another glass.
Next up there’s the Tenute Nicosia Frappato. It’s a beautiful fit for a palate that loves lightness, freshness, and fruit without harsh edges. This Sicilian red is bright and juicy, offering vibrant notes of strawberry, raspberry, and red cherry with a soft, silky texture and minimal tannin. It delivers all the charm of a red wine without the bitterness, heaviness, or sharp structure that can sometimes overwhelm. For the best experience, give it a slight chill, about 20 minutes in the fridge, and enjoy it alongside grilled vegetables, light pasta dishes, or simply on its own as an easygoing, refreshing pour. It’s red wine made for someone who values lift, fruit, and effortless drinkability.
This is the experience I’m trying to present with GrapeFind. Introduce you to new and familiar wines but always pushing your understanding of wines and what goes into making them. Thank you for your support and I look forward to continuing to join you at home as we explore the exciting world of wine together. Cheers!
