Vilafonté Seriously Old Dirt Western Cape

A deep ruby-purple color with aromas of blackberries and black currants, mixed with notes of cedar and herbs. On the palate, it is rich offering flavors of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, and ripe plum, followed by notes of violet, graphite, cedar, dried herbs, and subtle cocoa. Vilafonté is one of South Africa’s most internationally respected wineries, founded in the late 1990s as a collaboration between renowned American winemaker Zelma Long, South African viticulturist Dr. Philip Conning, and partners. Vilafonté was established with a singular vision: to craft world-class Bordeaux-style blends that express South Africa’s unique terroir while meeting the highest global standards.
