L’Ecole No. 41 is a third-generation, family-owned estate founded in 1983, set in a historic Frenchtown schoolhouse. They were the third winery established in the Walla Walla Valley. The winery focuses on terroir-reflective wines from eastern Washington and is one of the most honored wineries in Washington State.

Grape Profile: Mostly Syrah which provides richness, dark fruit flavors, and peppery spice. Small amounts of Grenache are added which bring red and dark fruit flavors, such as strawberry, black cherry and raspberry, with a hint of floral notes, earthiness and savory herbs.
Region Profile: The Walla Walla Valley straddles southeastern Washington and northeastern Oregon and has become one of America's most respected regions for premium red wine. Its dry continental climate provides warm, sunny days and cool nights, allowing grapes to achieve excellent flavor concentration while retaining acidity. Soils vary dramatically across the valley, including windblown loess, basalt-derived material, gravel, and ancient river deposits.
