Jim Barry Lodge Hill Dry Riesling
Pale straw color wine with vibrant aromas of lime juice, pink grapefruit, white peach, orange blossom, and citrus peel. The palate is bone-dry featuring flavors of citrus fruits likegrapefruit, mandarin, citrus zest with salty and stoney accents. Jim Barry acquired the Lodge Hill Vineyard in 1977, believing it held great potential for Riesling in the Clare Valley. The vineyard is located on the eastern ranges of Clare, at about 480 m elevation, with soils of brown loam over clay and fractured slate bedrock. Jim Barry’s approach emphasizes freshness, vineyard expression, and minimal intervention in the winery.
