Epoch Estate White
Bright and expressive, this wine combines aromas of white peach, Meyer lemon, grapefruit, pear, and stone fruit with notes of honeysuckle, herbs, ginger, and subtle baking spice. The palate is broad and textured with notes of lemon, grapefruit, peach, thyme, cut hay, crème fraîche, steely minerals, and lemongrass. Epoch Estate Wines, founded in 2004 by geologists Bill and Liz Armstrong, has quickly developed a big reputation for small production, artisanal wines. Crafted by winemaker Jordan Fiorentini, they make the wines with minimal intervention in the winery with fruit from meticulously farmed, estate owned, rocky, hillside vineyards.
