Black Slate Priorat Escaladei Vi De La Vila
Big, rich, powerful wine with loads of black cherry, blackberry, and ripe plum, layered with notes of licorice, crushed stone, graphite, dried Mediterranean herbs, and subtle cocoa. On the palate, it’s rich and ripe in style with balance acidity and developed character. Black Slate is a project created by the Marco Abella estate, a highly regarded producer in Priorat with deep roots in the village of Escaladei, one of the historic heartlands of the appellation. The winery focuses on expressing Priorat’s village identities by sourcing fruit from specific villages rather than blending across the entire region.
