Translucent ruby with garnet hues. The nose offers up red cherry, wild strawberry, and dried cranberry, layered with notes of rose petal, violet, dried herbs, leather, and anise. The flavors deliver red fruit supported by hints of tobacco, tea leaf, earthy spice, and dried flowers. Barboursville Vineyards was Virginia’s first winery to be dedicated to European grape varietals, with a strong reputation for crafting Italian-inspired varietals that thrive in the state’s unique ecological conditions. Founded in 1976 by the Zonin family of Italy. Their sole winemaking endeavor outside of Italy.
